Tired of Pointless Cold Calls? Here Are 5 Easy Tips for More Fruitful Real Estate Cold Calling!

Calling people you don’t know can be intimidating. It is probably something you never look forward to, but it’s a necessary skill for small business owners and real estate agents.

Now, as tough as it may seem, calling your prospects is still one surefire way to secure yourself some business.

Don’t worry though, you don’t have to suffer through it alone without any help. That’s why we’re here, you know, to help prepare you to completely dominate your business.

Just in case you have no idea what I’m talking about, real estate cold calling is a process of making telephone calls to potential customers with the intent to solicit business.

Real estate agents perform cold calling as part of their job to secure new clients and grow their business.

By following a few simple steps, you can improve your cold calling results and close more deals.

So, now that you’re all caught up, let’s take a look at some tips that can make your cold calling not only easier but also a lot more successful in increasing your chances of getting a sale!

Know Your Prospects

The first step in doing anything is to learn more about what or who you’re dealing with.

So, naturally, the first thing you need to do is to understand your audience.

This is key in any type of marketing, but especially when you are making cold calls. Knowing more about your audience, or in this case, your prospect makes it easier to match their vibe, and learn exactly what they’re looking for.

This alone will give your success chances a BIG boost, this way, you can tailor your pitch specifically for them.

Keep A Script Handy

Having a script to follow will help you stay on track and keep the conversation flowing. It also helps to keep you from getting tongue-tied or forgetting what you wanted to say.

Now, if you don’t have your own scripts, don’t worry, you can take a look at this script over here / you can just email us at [email protected] and I’ll send you my very own script, guaranteed to make you up to 6 figures, just like it does for me!

Confidence Is Key

Now, I know what you’re thinking; what is this, a dating guide? No, but it works with everything really.

This one can be a little tricky, but it is important. You need to believe in what you are saying and that you can help the person on the other end of the line.

If you don’t believe it, they won’t either.

You can’t sell what you won’t buy yourself. That’s why you need to be well informed, to know what you’re selling, and to believe with absolute certainty that not only is it a good thing, but you’re doing your client or prospect a big favor.

Manners Maketh The Man

Be polite and friendly. This one should go without saying, nobody wants to have any hostile interactions to ruin their day or sour it.

You’d be surprised how many people have really poor manners when they make cold calls.

Remember, this is a person you are talking to, a person you want to help, not just a name on a list.

So, be polite, match their vibe and above all else, stay positive no matter how demoralizing their energy gets, don’t let it get to you. Keep your eyes on the prize!

Don’t Let Rejection Stop You

Don’t take no for an answer.

If they say they’re not interested, that’s okay, just thank them for their time and move on to the next call.

The more calls you make, the more chances you have of making a sale. It’s like casting a wide net, only the more you do it the easier it becomes and the more likely you are to bag some big fish. Just keep doing it.

So, there you have it! Just following these five simple steps can make a world of difference in your cold calling success.

You can ignore all this, sure, just keep dealing with it the old-fashioned way and end up bleeding leads and prospects, it would be a waste, honestly, to waste all that passion just because you can’t adapt to fresh and better processes or practices.

You can also get the scripts, trial & error this thing till you completely nail a great style and a formula, see, the script, while really helpful, will only take you so far, it will be some springboard to find your own voice and style dealing with prospects.

It could be a little difficult and might take some time, it may even cost you some great leads. So, why risk it?
